Yen has been in the hair and beauty industry since 2005, building two decades of hands-on experience in hairdressing, scalp care and salon management.
Throughout her years behind the chair, she began to realise that many recurring hair concerns could not be addressed by focusing on the hair alone. This led her to deepen her focus on scalp care and long-term hair management.

Today, as the founder of M Scalp Bar, Yen brings together her experience in hairdressing and scalp care. Her approach begins by understanding each client’s current scalp and hair condition, then adjusting the care and maintenance accordingly—rather than applying the same routine to everyone.
Beyond serving clients, Yen is building M Scalp Bar around a bigger vision: to make professional scalp care easier to understand, more approachable and part of everyday hair maintenance.
